I.F.T. PROGRES expands, ERP system sales are rapidly increasing
In 2001, I.F.T. PROGRES achieved a turnover of 48 millions Kč, according to preliminary annual report. The revenues increased by 3 millions Kč in respect to 2000. The greatest growth has been reached in KARAT ERP and accompanying services sales.
"In 2001, the revenues from services and information system licensing formed 73 % of all I.F.T. PROGRES’ revenues – meaning a rise by almost 20 %, in respect to the previous year," says Branislav Ludva, the company general manager. "Such development is perfectly natural. Enterprise information systems are no longer used only to keep track of the processes within the company. Modern ERP systems feature tools to help with business opportunity control and customer relationship management (CRM)." These complex enterprise information systems include the KARAT IS. Since its official release in 2000, the number of its installations rose to 21, securing the results mentioned above. The development of KARAT IS is focused on open structure; thus, KARAT is robust, fast to implement, extensible by custom modules, and capable of user-level customization. Offering robust solution comparable to foreign systems (Navision, Scala, Exact, JBA, etc.), KARAT is licensed under terms offering extremely interesting performance-to-cost ratio that make the system available to a much broader audience.
KARAT is modular, component-oriented enterprise information system designed in modern 4GL tools and CASE products. It is ported to Microsoft SQL, Sybase ASA and Sybase ASE database engines and works on Microsoft (like Windows NT, 2000) and UNIX (IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, Linux) operating systems. KARAT enables electronic exchange of documents between companies, based on built-in XML/XSL support. I.F.T. PROGRES is a major enterprise information systems producer. Information systems of its production (KARAT, ISO, and ISOlite) are used by more than 1500 users. The company’s achievements, number of employees, number of partners, equipment and other factors established I.F.T. PROGRES as one of the leading information technology vendors on Czech market.
