KARAT works at Linux
KARAT information system is from its 03.001 version regularly put on against database servers, which are installed over the Linux operation systems’ network. Here, database servers made by Sybase, namely Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere and Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, are supported.
The main target of this step was, next to an ever-growing popularity of the LINUX operation system, to give the customer a possibility of platform choice. Now the customer may choose among Microsoft, Linux and Sun Microsystems’ Solaris network operation systems.
In general, LINUX is an ever more progressive operation system installed on servers of companies small and large. Its main advantages are low costs and executive architecture.
