The KARAT Information System in printing industry
NALCOM has just recently signed a contract with HULA, s.r.o. to implement the KARAT business solution. When selecting the IS, the main stress was put on the open character of the whole solution, to provide an option to modify it according to specific customer’s requirements. The implementation of the KARAT IS should be finished in December 2004 and includes the solution both for the headquarters and stores in Prague and for the stores in Brno.
HULA has been acting on the Czech market since 1990 and has been since its foundation the leading supplier of materials and equipment for printing industry. Through its main warehouse in Hostivice, branch warehouse in Brno and other dealers, the company currently offers almost all types of materials for print preparation, printing itself and final processing, except graphic films and printing paper. Some of the materials are actually further adjusted, for example the sheets of printing rubber are cut to formats, slatted or perforated, plastic foils are cut to the required dimensions and stamping foils are cut to required roll widths.
NALCOM, who is a certified partner of I. F. T. PROGRES and at the same time a co-designer of the KARAT Production solution, deals in providing complex solutions in information systems with emphasis on planning and production management.
