The conference is especially aimed at managers, IT specialists and users from middle-sized and large companies that plan an acquisition of an information system. Due to its scope, the conference is also suitable for IT experts and media.

The aim of the conference is to present the specific properties of complex KARAT information system to its attendants. Concerning practical benefits, a practical case study will be presented, on which it will be demonstrated what requirements the implementation of an information system in a company poses on the clients. There will be a practical demonstration that will show how parts of KARAT information system can be adjusted quickly and easily by the users themselves.

The representative of HVB Bank will present information and course of operations to be taken to finance the acquisition of information system from resources of European Union. Ing. Petr Sodomka, Ph.D, president of Centre for research of information systems by Baťa University in Zlín, will talk about problematics of business risks connected to implementation and usage of company information systems.

KARAT information system is a complex solution using Client/Server technology, designed for management of middle-sized and large business and manufacturing organizations. The system is developed with emphasis on openness. It is ported on database servers Sybase ASA, Sybase ASE and Microsoft SQL and it operates under Microsoft, LINUX and UNIX operation systems.
