ALTER company has chosen the KARAT information system
ALTER, s.r.o., a Hradec Králové based company, has recently signed a contract with NALCOM concerning the implementation of the KARAT enterprise information system. The multi-licensed new information system will also be used by the subsidiary company ARIM s.r.o. The KARAT system was chosen due to the quality of its storage management and production modules, and thanks to positive references to the supplier of manufacturing companies solutions. The scope of the implementation will concern almost all standard modules of IS KARAT, including a solution for the production management of cleansers and disinfectants.
ALTER s.r.o. was founded in 1992. The company produces and wholesale distributes cleansers and disinfectants, packaging material, hygienic goods, supplements and a gastro line. Since 1999, the company has extended its activities, producing its own line of basic cleansers and disinfectants under the names SATUR and BIOVAN. In 2005, the line was supplemented with the low-priced products FOX and BEL. The company has successfully cooperated with Banchem, a Slovak manufacturing company,based in Dunajská Streda, whose products are distributed in the Czech Republic by ARIM, s.r.o, a subsidiary company.
NALCOM company, which cooperated in the creation of the KARAT Production Solution engages in complex deliveries of information technologies including information systems solutions for both manufacturing and commercial concerns.
KARAT information system is a complex information system using Client/Server technology, designed for management of middle-sized and large business and manufacturing organizations. The system is developed with emphasis on openness. It is ported on database servers Sybase ASA, Sybase ASE a Microsoft SQL and it works under Microsoft and UNIX information systems.
