mBank has chosen KARAT
Přerov 10.4.2008 - The KARAT Information system, produced by KARAT Software a.s., has been chosen to support the administrative processes at BRE Bank S A, better known in central Europe under the business trademark mBank. In Poland, mBank successfully launched its activities in 2000 in both traditional and electronic banking services.
mBank already has 1,7 million clients in Poland, 60 thousand clients in the Czech Republic, and 21.6 thousand clients in Slovakia. In the latter two regions, mBank entered the market concurrently in November 2007.
The contract concerning the delivery, implementation and subsequent support of the KARAT information system was signed at the beginning of this year with KARAT’s general representatives in Bratislava, by KARAT Slovakia a.s. At present, a synchronous implementation of IS KARAT in both the administrative branch of mBank in Prague and in the Slovak mBank branch in Bratislava is being carried out.
Full operation of the KARAT information system, in both branches, is planned to begin at the end of spring. The KARAT information system will play an important role in supporting the daily administrative processes of mBank.
The KARAT Information system is used for enterprise management by hundreds of mid-sized and large companies in the Czech and Slovak republic. The greatest advantage of the system is its ability to work on more platforms (MS, LINUX, UNIX a MS SQL, SYBASE…) and its unique architecture that makes possible the quick realization of specific adjustments according to the needs of the user.
